"Tony Ray Laundry is a longtime Keystone Avenue landmark that lives behind an unassuming sign and slanted glass windows. It contains dryers the color of orange Sunburst candy. It takes coins. It still has a pay phone.
These attributes convinced a group of Hoosier filmmakers that the laundromat could be the perfect location for "Dirty Laundry," a 71-minute comedy-drama set in 1997 that follows two best friends who face a life-defining decision as they cross the threshold into adulthood. The film plays at Heartland International Film Festival on Oct. 13, 15 and 17."
