How did a joke amongst coworkers and a San Francisco smash-and-grab looting combine to form the inciting incident in the real-life story of how the screenplay for Dirty Laundry came to be? In late 2023, prior to principal photography, 12 Stars Media published an announcement recounting some of the original inspiration for the screenplay.
“I never thought I’d write a fictional film. Like, never,” writer and director, Rocky Walls, explains. “I love documentary filmmaking. A blank page usually paralyzes me. I love witnessing, listening to and shaping the stories of the people I meet. So, I’m more surprised and excited than anyone to share that 12 Stars Media will produce and release our first feature narrative film in 2024!”
